Best of 2012: Best Books I've Read

Best Books I've Read

So, I adore Jennifer L Armentrout. She is the queen of writing kick-butt heroines and sexy warrior love interests. Also, I have a love/hate relationship with her cliff-hanger endings. They give me a reason to wait for the sequel, when I'll often wait for the sequel then end up never reading it. I always pick up her sequels when they become available on my nook. Team Aiden and Daemon forever!
Deity  |  Opal

Who doesn't love Cassandra Clare? And who can pass up a Shodowhunter? Especially when it's set it Victorian England? So naturally, Clare's three books that I read this year ended up on my favorite reads list. How could they not?
City of Lost Souls
 Clockwork Angel
Clockwork Prince

I waited thirteen months for this book to come out. And when it came in the mail, I picked it up and didn't put it down until I finished it. Which isn't necessarily a good thing when your in class... And it left me with ANOTHER cliffhanger! (Do you see a trend? I love books with major cliffhangers)
I cried and laughed and cried some more. The Fault in Our Stars presented a very real and raw look at the life of a teenage cancer patient. I fell in love with Hazel and Augustus. And I'm sure you will too :)
When I say Throne of Glass was one of my favorite reads, I'm including the four prequel novellas too. Because I loved those just as much as the book itself. And how could you not love it with passages like this:
"I like music," she said slowly, "because when I hear it, I . . . I lose myself within myself, if that makes sense. I become empty and full all at once, and I can feel the whole roiling around me. When I play, I'm not . . . for once, I'm not destroying. I'm creating."
Kaylee's journey is amazing. I adore her strength, courage, and stubbornness. And I love Todd. Is there any more explanation needed?
Sweet Evil was just amazing. I don;t have words to describe the awesomeness. I love Anna's innocence and naivete. I love Kaidan's bad-boy-ness. And I love that in the end, Anna didn;t collapse when Kaidan left to protect her. She might have been depressed for a few days, but then she picked herself up and said "I'm my own person. I can survive without him." Sweet Evil

I've heard a lot of great things about The Fault in Our Stars, so I think I'll be buying that too. Thanks for featuring these awesome books!! :D
