Event Recap: The Robin on the Oak Throne by K.A. Linde Tour (In Conversation with Sierra Simone)

I attended the book tour stop at Under the Cover Romance Bookstore in Kansas City. I've never been to this bookstore before and it is so cute! They have a bunch of nice seating and cute photo opp areas. They also have several of these giant character cut outs. This one of Aelin in the gold dragon dress from is gorgeous!

This event was for K.A. Linde's two new books: The Monster and the Last Blood Match (Blood Type #1) and The Robin on the Oak Throne (Oak & Holly #2), both of which have released this month. Linde was in conversation with contemporary author Sierra Simone.

These two were so fun in conversation, especially since they're friends. The Monster and the Last Blood Match is a prequel series to the Oak & Holly Cycle. The trilogy was originally indie published in 2018. It was interesting to hear Linde talk about editing a book she wrote 10 years ago to republish and trying to find a balance between preserving the original work but also updating to fit a changed society. Linde said if the two books were songs, The Robin on the Oak Throne would be I Did Something Bad by Taylor Swift and The Monster and the Last Blood Match would by River by Bishop Briggs.

I bought Sierra's Thornchapel series at the bookstore and she was kind enough to personalize them. We also had a nice chat. Linde also signed and personalized my books. It was so fun to meet both of them!

On an unrelated note, I saw this gorgeous sunset on my way home.
