This novel starts out a little slow for me to the point where I put it down a few times so I could come back to it. However, the action really picks up and it's sets up some great character development for Celaena. Also, can I just say how much I love the new characters? Aedion and Rowan are a couple of my favorite and Manon is reluctantly growing on me. Maas's world continues to grow in intricacy and beauty. Her ability to transport readers to her world is magical and I almost believe I am there. Though I know the next book is leading Celaena back to Adarlan, I really hope to see the people of Mistward in following books!
