Unbelievable Blog Tour: Review

Unbelievable (Port Fare #2) by Sherry Gammon
Deliah Lopez Dreser’s in town to take care of family business. They say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, but there’s more to Lilah than meets the eye. Cole’s in danger of losing his heart when this firestorm throws sparks his way. However, is she simply playing him for the fool in order to exact revenge for her brother’s murders?

Maggie and Seth’s reaction when the truth is revealed pushes friendship to the limit. And this time around it won’t be a Dreser causing an uproar in Port Fare. It will be Cole's good friend Booker. But does Booker have it all wrong? Usually not!

She has added two more novels to her body of work. Souls in Peril, the poignant story of Max Sanchez who is on a journey to help the struggling JD Miller survive high school, and Pete & Tink, a fun, light-hearted novella of a manga-loving geek and and five-and-a-half inch fairy.
Sherry and her husband, along with their children and a couple of crazy dogs, call Upstate New York home. It is where she spends her nights writing instead of sleeping.

I loved Unlovable (Port Fare #1). It was the story of Seth and Maggie. And I loved getting to see those two characters again, still in love, and engaged to be married. Even if they were just supporting characters, it was nice to revisit them and see how they're doing.

Unbelievable is Cole and Lilah's story. Cole is a doctor; an extremely kind, thoughtful, and, oh yeah, clumsy doctor. Lilah is the youngest child of Harry Dresser. That's the father of the guys who tried to kill Maggie in Unlovable. And Harry has forced Lilah to gather information on Seth, Maggie, and Booker so that he can kill them. All Lilah wants is to be left alone. She wants nothing to do with her father's business.

I love Cole's gentleness and protectiveness. I never thought about how there were different ways you could be protective until I read this book. Seth and Booker are extremely protective of Maggie, but in a take-action kind of way. Cole is protective of Lilah in a gentle way. Does that make sense? Never mind...

Anyways, I also love Lilah's spunk and attitude. Her father has told her that Maggie murdered her brother in cold blood, that she has no heart. But Lilah starts to realize that her father lied to her, that her brother was this mentally unstable person. And she also starts to fall for Cole as much as she tries not to.

I cannot wait for the third book!!!! I'm soo excited to finally read Booker's story!!!!!
