Divergent (Divergent #1) by Veronica Roth [Re-Read]

In a future Chicago, 16-year-old Beatrice Prior must choose among five predetermined factions to define her identity for the rest of her life, a decision made more difficult when she discovers that she is an anomaly who does not fit into any one group, and that the society she lives in is not perfect after all.

Publish Date:

In a dystopian Chicago there are five factions: Erudite, the intelligent; Amity, the peaceful; Dauntless, the brave; Abnegation, the selfless; and Candor, the truthful.

Tris has a choice to make. Does she chose her family and stay in Abnegation. Or does she chose her self and join the Dauntless like she's always dreamed of doing. Is she selfless or is she brave. She just has to remember that one choice can transform you.

I am so in love with Veronica Roth. Tris is amazing in everything she does and is willing to do anything to protect those she loves. She also struggles with normal teen identity issues. Four is totally awesome and kick-butt. Christina and Will are hilarious and lovable. Uriah accepts Tris as one of them immediately and is really sweet. I instantly fell in love with Ms. Roth's futuristic world. I am eagerly anticipating the upcoming sequel, Insurgent (out May 1).
