This book was addicting and fast paced. I love that Erik and Livia had a connection before he kidnaps her. The way their relationship develops is just perfect and I can't wait to pick up this sequel (I'm so happy I already have an ARC for the sequel too). Erik is the perfect tortured MMC who will burn the world for his girl. I'm also really interested in the fact that magic in the Ever is connected to singing!
This is a great read! And like the description says, you don't have to have read Broken Kingdoms to pick up on what's going on. I haven't read that yet, but I might after I finish these books!
