Event Recap: Rebel Witch by Kristin Ciccarelli Book Tour

I have only read Kristin Ciccarelli's debut novel, The Last Namsara, but I've heard so many good things about Heartless Hunter so I decided to head to the event for the last book in the duology Rebel Witch. The event was hosted by The Novel Neighbor in St. Louis at the 18Rails Venue at the Foundry. I should have gotten pictures of the event space because it was so fun. There was couches all around, a cash bar, and tables set up with local shops. There was a bookish themed store, an earring store, a St. Louis themed sweatshirts table, plus a couple more. The bar also had a themed drink they named Rebel Heart that included this cute little winged key and had smoke coming out of it.

After perusing the shops, the discussion started. Kristen was upfront about her writing process, including that she writes lengthy outlines for her books before she actually starts writing. She thinks Rune would be friends with Sabrina Spellman (from Sabrina the Teenage Witch). She also talked about her upcoming books: Tempting Fate, about a vampire princess who falls for her werewolf bodyguard, and an adult romantasy (that hopefully should be announced in the next few weeks) that has the tropes of marriage of convenience and ancestral enemies to lovers. Finally, she spoke a lot about how Heartless Hunter was inspired by The Scarlet Pimpernel and now I want to read that book too!

Finally, the night ended with a signing line. Kristen was kind enough to personalize all my books. I'm so excited to re-read The Last Namsara and do my first read of her other books that I own!
