Before They Find Us Blog Tour: Review + Giveaway

I’m going to make you wish you were dead.

Just a text. Seventeen-year-old Rebecca Hales tries not to worry. Probably a wrong number. Not really meant for her, and definitely not related to the crime she witnessed six years ago. Right?

Then two states away, a bomb goes off in her best friend's locker. Soon Ryan is labeled a terrorist and runs to the safest place he knows—Rebecca’s house in small-town Wyoming. It doesn’t take long for the FBI to show up asking questions. Rebecca lies, of course, and says she hasn’t seen him.

Now she's neck-deep in it with him, whatever "it" is. The only way out is to return to Vegas, where Ryan is a wanted man. The city of lies and illusion tests Rebecca’s wits as she struggles to find the person who framed Ryan and why.

Is Rebecca’s text linked to the bombing? And what does it have to do with a six year old murder? Rebecca needs to find out before she loses Ryan—and her own life.

An IHOP, really? She thought after five years behind bars he'd want a steak, not soggy pancakes and sickly-sweet syrup.

Before They Find Us is a well written action thriller. Beck witnessed a crime when she was younger and now everybody hates her for identifying the perpetrator. When her best friend Ryan is framed for a school bombing, she and he go on the run to prove that he's innocent. I was on the edge of my seat to know what happened. The romance was also really sweet and slow.

Beck is stubborn and determined. She loves Ryan so much she's willing to go to jail to prove he's innocent. I loved that part of it. It's obvious from the beginning, her feelings for Ryan. Ryan is a wrestler. He'll do anything to protect Beck, but he also trusts her with his life. He's funny and smart. The two of them together is perfect.

Along the way, Jordan helps them hack phones to prove Ryan's innocent. Jordan is constantly trying to get to dress more stylishly. Over the course of the book, he realizes what love is by watching what Beck is willing to do for Ryan. Jordan pushes Beck to reveal her feelings to Ryan. Jordan is funny and insanely smart.

I loved the plot line, but the ending felt very abrupt. I want to know more. Luckily, if you subscribe to Michelle's newsletter (in the sidebar on her website, linked above), she'll send you an epilogue that was cut from the book! I can't wait to read it!!

Before They Find Us is a good book for people who like crime mysteries and suspenseful novels. Enjoy :)
