Fallen Too Far (Fallen Too Far #1) by Abbi Glines

To want what you’re not supposed to have…

She is only nineteen.

She is his new stepfather’s daughter.

She is still naïve and innocent due to spending the last three years taking care of her sick mother.

But for twenty-four year old Rush Finlay, she is the only thing that has ever been off limits. His famous father’s guilt money, his mother’s desperation to win his love, and his charm are the three reasons he has never been told no.

Blaire Wynn left her small farmhouse in Alabama, after her mother passed away, to move in with her father and his new wife in their sprawling beach house along the Florida gulf coast. She isn’t prepared for the lifestyle change and she knows she’ll never fit into this world. Then there is her sexy stepbrother who her father leaves her with for the summer while he runs off to Paris with his wife. Rush is as spoiled as he is gorgeous. He is also getting under her skin. She knows he is anything but good for her and that he’ll never be faithful to anyone. He is jaded and has secrets Blaire knows she may never uncover but even knowing all of that…

Blaire just may have fallen too far.

Fallen Too Far is about Blaire, a true southern girl with her accent and nine millimeter. Her mother has just died after battling cancer for three years. She turns to the father who left them five years ago after Valerie, Blaire's identical twin, died in a car crash for help. Imagine her surprise when she arrives at his house to find a sexy step-brother and her father has gone to Paris with his new wife.

Rush is dark, moody, and brooding. At times, he seems like a violent person, but sometimes you see this amazing guy peeking through his walls. Blaire is just the type of girl he needs. Sweet, innocent, but total certified BA. She won me over the minute she pulled her 9mm on Grant.

It did annoy me that Rush would be hot moment and cold the next moment, but the unveiling of his secrets explains why he was like this. It wasn't some lame excuse, like so many male leads have for staying away. His reason is very real and could tear him and his family apart.

The ending just about broke my heart. The secrets revealed. The hearts broken. The families torn apart. It was completely devastating. But there is still hope for a happy ending because there's a sequel coming out in a couple of months!

I really want to learn more about Valerie and get to know Blaire's highschool sweetheart, Cain, better. Hopefully we will in Never Too Far (March 12, 2013)
