Emmy Rossum, star of Shameless, has joined the exciting upcoming adaptation of Beautiful Creatures, according to Variety! The film, an adaptation of the first novel by co-authors Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, follows two star-crossed teenage lovers — a local boy and a mysterious new girl — who uncover dark secrets about their families, their history and their town. The film already has tapped Alice Inglert, Jack O’Connell, Viola Davis and Emma Thompson to star. Rossum will play Ridley, Inglert’s cousin who turned into a dark witch on her 16th birthday – making the two girls enemies.
